After more than a year of experimenting with the technology, the EDF group decided to launch a call for tenders last September to equip some of its maintenance containers with low-consumption sensors. By responding with its latest range of Tifiz Xtrak and Xsense beacons developed jointly with the company Thinxtra (Australian Sigfox Operator), TICATAG was able to attract the group and win over other market players.
The contract is signed for a period of 4 years and targets a specific fleet of equipment. (…)
For EDF,
This is the opportunity to join forces with an agile partner and benefit from a pragmatic solution that meets the group's technical and economic challenges. In line with the challenge EDF Pulse and Electric Days, EDF is continuing its digital transition and taking advantage of new technologies to serve Industry 4.0 professions. By choosing an innovative solution, EDF is aiming for a rapid return on investment by optimizing its logistics flows by reducing capital expenditures as well as increasing safety and improving the transport conditions of its equipment. Anticipating deterioration and optimizing routes will reduce the cost and carbon footprint of its maintenance activities. As a result of an internal approach led by the Industrial Support Division for Producers and its National Unit for Digital Technologies for Producers, EDF teams are innovating and fully committed to the group's digital transformation with a simplification and optimization approach.
For TICATAG,
This contract is the first real contract with a leading player in the B2B world.
"Until now, we were mainly known for our consumer products with our connected key ring and our TiFiz tracker. Since the release of our GPS beacon in 2015, many professionals have used our solution, won over by the simplicity of the interface and the autonomy of the technology, which allows us to meet new uses such as tracking objects without a battery. This is simply what won over EDF after qualifying the products for several months... we are very proud of it."
