1          About TiBe

Your TiBe is a Bluetooth® Smart device that lets you easily locate your belongings using your smartphone as a relay.

By attaching a TiBe to your keys, for example, your smartphone will monitor them for you.

If you lose your keys, the TiBe Connect app will show the last location where your smartphone saw the keys.

If your keys are nearby, you can make them ring… and find them!

2          Requirements

TiBe uses the latest low-energy Bluetooth technology.

To ensure TiBe works, please note your smartphone must meet the following requirements:

• iOS 11, iPhone 6S and newer
• Android 8.1 and above, and a Bluetooth 4.0 compatible device

3          TIBE REQUIRES AN APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE.

If this is your first TiBe, you must install the "TiBe Connect" app by downloading it,

• From the App Store if your smartphone is an iPhone,
• Or Google Play if your smartphone runs on Android.

 

4          First connection

4.1      Create your account

To be able to sign in, you first need to create an account on the platform.

Launch the "TiBe Connect" app on your smartphone and follow the instructions below:

1)  Tap "Create your account"

2)  Fill in the fields and confirm by clicking "Create your account"

3)  A confirmation email is sent to your account’s email address

4)  Go to your email to open this message and confirm the account by clicking the "Confirm" button

You will then receive a confirmation message that your account has been created

 4.2      Sign in

1)  From the TiBe Connect app home screen on your smartphone, tap "Sign in"

2)  Fill in the fields and confirm by clicking "Connect"

3)  During the first connection, the app will request the necessary permissions to operate its service, which you must approve:

• Notification permission
• Location permission
• Camera access permission

You will then arrive at the home screen

4.3      Attach your TiBe

4.3.1     Start your TiBe

When purchased, your TiBe is off and the battery is isolated by a plastic tab

To start it,

1) Open the cover by turning it clockwise

2) Slide the battery to remove the tab

3)  Replace the battery

4)  Press the button for 4 seconds.
=> A beep will confirm that your TiBe is turned on.

Note:
If you do not hear the beep, remove and replace the battery and repeat the operation.

5)  Close the cover after hearing the beep.

4.3.2     Attach the TiBe to your account

1)  From the home screen of the TiBe Connect app on your smartphone,

Press the "+"

2)  Press the TiBe button and click "Next"

3)  After a few seconds a screen will confirm the activation of the TiBe on your account.

 In case of error,

• Retest
• If the error is confirmed, restart your smartphone and try the operation again.
• If the error persists, contact TICATAG support at the email address  support@ticatag.com

Warning:

• A TiBe can only be attached to one user account at a time.
  If you want to give it to one of your relatives, you must detach it from your account first.

 

5          Locate your TiBe

5.1      With your smartphone

Your app will allow you to easily detect if your TiBe is around you (within a radius of 15 to 20m).

• Launch the "TiBe Connect" app
• If needed, enter your account credentials (email / password)
• You will arrive at the home screen

5.1.1     Case No. 1 – Your TiBe is around you

The icon is surrounded by a Green circle

Make it ring to find it

5.1.2     Case No. 2 – Your TiBe is not around you

The icon is surrounded by a Red circle

By clicking on the icon you can get the address of the last known position and the position history.

The last address is where you probably forgot it!

5.2      From your PC

All positions are archived on the Ticatag cloud platform... you also have the option to view them from any PC with internet access.

Below is the procedure to follow

• Log in at the link https://connect.ticatag.com
• Enter your credentials
• You will then have the option to check the position of your TiBe by going to the "Position" menu

 

 

6          Make the Phone ring

If the TiBe and the Phone are within range, it is possible to make the phone ring if it is the phone you want to find.

To proceed, double click on the TiBe.
